The Season of Lent

Lent is the 40 days which comes before Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday. Lent is a season of reflection and preparation before the celebration of Easter.  Lent is a time of renewal. It is a time when we rejoice that God is a God of new life, of new beginnings. It is a time of reflection as to where we are on our spiritual journey.
